Rainbow Lottery Helps Stonewall Surpass £50,000 in Community Funding Milestone

The Rainbow Lottery has helped leading LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall raise over £50,000 in vital funding, marking a significant milestone in community-led support for LGBTQ+ causes across the UK.

The achievement reflects the growing impact of the Rainbow Lottery’s unique model, where players can choose which LGBTQ+ organisation their ticket supports, with 50p from every £1 ticket going directly to good causes.

Stonewall, one of the UK’s most prominent LGBTQ+ charities, has benefited from sustained, weekly contributions generated through the platform, helping to fund its ongoing work towards equality and inclusion.

Tom Gattos, Co-Founder of the Rainbow Lottery, said:
“Reaching £50,000 for Stonewall is a moment we’re incredibly proud of — not just for us, but for every single player who has chosen to support them. It shows what’s possible when small, consistent contributions come together to create real, lasting impact.”

Gattos recently presented Stonewall CEO Simon Blake with a certificate to mark the milestone, recognising both the achievement and the collective effort behind it.

While the £50,000 figure is significant, it also highlights a broader opportunity. With over 200 LGBTQ+ causes now part of the Rainbow Lottery, the platform is designed to provide long-term, sustainable funding at a time when many charities face increasing demand and financial uncertainty.

Simon Blake, CEO of Stonewall, added:
“This is an important moment — not just for Stonewall, but for the wider community. The Rainbow Lottery represents a powerful and innovative way to support LGBTQ+ causes, and we are hugely grateful to everyone who plays and contributes.”

The Rainbow Lottery has now raised over £500,000 for LGBTQ+ causes nationwide, demonstrating the growing appetite for community-driven fundraising models that combine giving with engagement.

As awareness continues to grow, the Rainbow Lottery is encouraging more supporters to get involved, helping to ensure organisations like Stonewall — and many others — can continue their vital work.
