About our cause
We need your support to raise funds so we can promote awareness and tackle hate crime across the UK.
We bring communities affected by hate together.
We organise the April Acts of Remembrance, National Hate Crime Awareness Week and our annual H.O.P.E. Campaign.
Whilst you have a chance to win £25,000 with every Rainbow Lottery ticket you purchase, we get 50p for every ticket you buy from our Rainbow Lottery page.
This helps us raise the funds we need to cover the core costs of running our small anti-hate charity whilst we continue make a huge difference to those affected by hate.
April Acts of Remembrance
In April 1999 the communities of Brixton, Brick Lane and Soho were devastated by three racist and homophobic nail bomb attacks that aimed to provoke a race war by stirring up fear and hatred within our communities. Luckily the bombers plan failed but not before he had killed three people in the Admiral Duncan and injured many more.
Our charity has organised the April Acts of Remembrance since April 2010, marking the anniversaries of those hateful attacks by bringing people together to remember those who were killed and injured, to stand in solidarity with those who need our ongoing support, and to educate future generations in the hope that we can prevent similar attacks from taking place again.
National Hate Crime Awareness Week
Following the death of Ian Baynham, the victim of a homophobic attack in Trafalgar Square, we organised the London Vigils against Hate Crime, inspiring acts of solidarity between communities affected by hate crime across the UK.
The vigils evolved into the national week which aims;
"to encourage the authorities (Government, Councils and Police), key partners and communities affected by hate crime to work together to tackle all forms of hate crime".
Each year we light a National Candle of Hope and Remembrance for those affected by Hate Crime which is displayed in St Paul's Cathedral for the duration of the national week.
H.O.P.E. Campaign
Our annual H.O.P.E. Campaign is about raising Hate crime awareness, improving Operational responses to hate crime, Preventing hate crime and community Engagement.
Each year our Rainbow Boroughs Project 'Pride Marching Group' takes part in the Pride in London Parade with the Admiral Duncan Memorial Banner.
17-24-30 National Hate Crime Awareness Week (1184819)
Our charity was founded by members of the LGBT+ Community in response to attacks on our community, it takes the first part of its name 17-24-30 from the dates of the London Nail Bomb attacks and the second part of its name from the NationalHCAW week it created.
Tackling anti-LGBT+ hate crime alongside other forms of hate crime is central to our purpose to end hate.
