About our cause
TOKKO Youth Space provides a much loved and valued service for the community which supports a wide range of young people across Bedfordshire. Through support, recreation and leisure the charity support approximately 1000 young people a year with a range of complex social issues and health inequalitiees to enhance their mental health and well-being and raise their aspirations.
With adverse mental health in young poeple on the rise our support is a vital lifelin efor vulnerable young people.
Current projects include:
- OK2B - supporting young people from the LGBTQIA+ community providing a safe space where they can access support and explore their sexuality and gender identy
- Young people's clinical counselling
- Freedom programme supporting young people who are victims of domestic abuse
- Just Like You - our inclusion project support SEND young people
- Young parents and TOKKO Totz supporting some of the young parents in our communities some still children themselves
- Ladies With Attitude (LWA) - our girls group developing confidence and self-eesteem as well as promoting healthy relationships and the importance of self care (supporting the violence against women and girls wider agenda and keeping young girls safe.)
- Youth mentoring support
