🎉 One Million Tickets Sold – and Over £500,000 Raised for LGBTQ+ Good Causes

We’re incredibly proud to share a huge milestone for the Rainbow Lottery community.

In less than five years since our very first draw, more than ONE MILLION Rainbow Lottery tickets have now been sold — a powerful collective achievement that has already delivered over £500,000 directly to LGBTQ+ good causes across the UK.

Every £1 Rainbow Lottery ticket helps make this possible. With 50% of every ticket going straight to a cause chosen by the player, thousands of people have come together to fund vital LGBTQ+ services — £1 at a time.

What this means for our community

The funds raised through the Rainbow Lottery support a wide range of LGBTQ+ organisations, from nationally recognised charities such as Elton John AIDS Foundation, Stonewall and the Peter Tatchell Foundation, to smaller, grassroots groups working at the heart of local communities right across the country.

Alongside funding frontline services, the Rainbow Lottery has also paid out over £130,000 in prizes to lucky players across the UK — showing that supporters don’t have to choose between giving back and having the chance to win.

Today, the Rainbow Lottery proudly supports over 200 registered good-cause partners, including organisations working in:

Mental health and wellbeing
Youth services
Housing and homelessness
Human rights and advocacy
HIV support and prevention
Trans and non-binary services
Pride organisations and community-led initiatives
A word from our founders

Tom Gattos, Co-Founder of the Rainbow Lottery, said:

“Selling one million tickets shows what’s possible when a community comes together. £1 at a time, our players have helped fund life-changing LGBTQ+ work across the UK — and that’s exactly what the Rainbow Lottery was created to do.”

David Murray, Co-Founder, added:

“What matters most to us is where this money goes. A huge proportion of the funds raised support smaller, grassroots LGBTQ+ organisations — groups often doing life-changing work with very limited resources. Knowing that £1 tickets are helping keep services running, doors open and communities supported across the UK makes this milestone incredibly meaningful.”

Thank you

If you’ve ever played the Rainbow Lottery, supported one of our causes, or shared our message — thank you. This milestone belongs to our entire community.

And as we look ahead, our message remains the same:

£1 pound.
1 ticket-a-week
1 million reasons to be proud. 🌈
