Peter Tatchell Foundation Tops 200+ Charities to Win Rainbow Lottery’s First Community Impact Award
02 April 2026
In just one month, the Peter Tatchell Foundation outperformed more than 200 charities and community groups to secure the Rainbow Lottery’s first Community Impact Award, recognising an outstanding month of supporter growth and engagement whilst generating vital, ongoing funding for their work.
This exceptional achievement was driven by the dedication and creativity of Simon Harris, the Foundation’s Fundraising Manager, whose focused campaign helped mobilise new players and build meaningful, long-term support.
Tom Gattos, Co-Founder of the Rainbow Lottery, said:
“What Simon and the team at the Peter Tatchell Foundation achieved in just one month was remarkable. They didn’t just bring in new supporters—they built momentum, energy and sustainable funding that will continue to make a difference. It’s exactly what this award was created to celebrate.”
The Community Impact Award highlights the incredible potential of simple, well-executed campaigns to unlock new income streams for charities—demonstrating how consistent, focused outreach can translate directly into long-term impact.
As a thank you for their achievement, the Rainbow Lottery will be treating a member of the Peter Tatchell Foundation team to a one-night stay for two at The Hoxton, London, known for its stylish design and vibrant atmosphere in the heart of the city.
The celebration will continue with dinner for two at the exclusive Century Club in Soho, a private members’ club renowned for its creative energy, elegant setting, and exceptional dining experience.
Tom Gattos added:
“We’re also incredibly grateful to The Hoxton and Century Club for their generosity in helping us recognise the amazing work of our partner causes. Both offer truly memorable experiences, and we’re delighted to share them with the winning team.”
The Rainbow Lottery supports over 200 charities and community organisations across the UK, giving players the unique opportunity to choose the cause they wish to support—with 50p from every £1 ticket going directly to that organisation.
